Alison Gurin joined the International Peace Institute in July 2006. She provides support to IPI’s many programs, including Coping with Crisis, State Building, and the UN History Series, working closely with Program Officers and Associates on wide-ranging topics. Her responsibilities include assistance with research and data compilation, editing for publications, and organizing events. She also assists the Development department with donor tracking and correspondence.

Alison received her BA in 2006 from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with a concentration in International Relations and Gender Studies. Her undergraduate work culminated in a colloquium entitled “Gender and the Global Economy.” She speaks Spanish and has studied in Mexico and northern India.
