Nur Laiq

Nur has recently joined IPI as the Middle East program officer. Her current work is primarily centered on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Levant and Iran. She is interested in foreign policy and issues of peace, security, and reform across the region.
Prior to joining IPI, Nur worked with a Labour MP in London. She has worked on Middle Eastern political affairs at the European Commission in Brussels. She has also worked with refugees through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Damascus and in New Delhi.
Nur received an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from St Antony’s College, Oxford University and studied Arabic and Persian in Damascus, Amman and Tehran.
