Internship Announcement
The International Peace Institute (IPI) invites applications for a spring internship starting in early March and ending in July.
The spring intern must have excellent language and writing skills, with an interest in and knowledge of African affairs.
Responsibilities would include the following:
Assisting with the Africa Program:
- Intern would provide program support for the planning and execution of the 2010 West Point Seminar, possibly serving as rapporteur, if deemed appropriate.
- Intern would provide program support for logistical planning and execution of the Kings College/IPI Junior Professionals Program.
- Intern would assist in the drafting, editing, and proofreading of Africa Program written materials.
- Intern would also provide other ad hoc assistance as determined by the Africa Program Director.
- In accordance with a new initiative to improve the rigor of quality control, the intern would provide assistance with fact-checking and proofreading.
- Intern would assist the Publications Officer on disseminations (e.g., printing and collating of mailing labels and cover letters, etc.).
- Intern would assist with publications-related administrative work, including expense reports and the maintenance of periodical subscriptions and library organization.
- Intern would provide other ad hoc assistance as determined by the Publications Editor.
IPI interns receive a small stipend.
