Chris Perry

Chris joined IPI as a Policy Analyst with the Coping with Crisis team in July 2008. He is currently working on a project reviewing compliance with all Security Council Resolutions adopted after the Cold War in the context of civil wars. His research interests also include the role of regional and multilateral institutions in response to crisis as well as the expansion of partnerships between civil society, public, and private actors.
Prior to IPI, Chris conducted research for the Rural Development Institute examining legal institutions and how they relate to access to land in a developing nation context. He also conducted program evaluations for the US Embassy in Nigeria and spent two years as a Peace Corps Natural Resource Management volunteer in rural Niger.
Chris holds a master's in public administration from the Daniel J. Evans School (University of Washington) with a concentration in international development policy and a BA in philosophy from the University of Washington. He speaks English and Hausa.
