Each of IPI’s rapporteurs delivered a summary of core findings on chosen topics.

The International Peace Institute on April 15th launched a Special Issue of the journal International Peacekeeping, edited by James Cockayne, IPI Senior Associate, and Adam Lupel, IPI Editor. "Peace Operations and Organized Crime," the subject of both the Special Issue and the launch event, were considered in a policy-forum setting by contributors to the issue James Cockayne, Alix Boucher, and Phil Williams, and discussant Ann-Marie Orler, United Nations Deputy Police Adviser.

IPI recently held a panel discussion to launch the new book, Blue Helmets and Black Markets: The Business of Survival in the Siege of Sarajevo, by Peter Andreas.
About This Project
This project focuses on developing more effective multilateral responses to transnational organized crime and the new threats it poses, most notably in conflict zones and fragile states. It aims at enhancing strategic and operational coordination between states and those multilateral mechanisms that currently address organized crime, such as the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, UN police, UN sanctions bodies, INTERPOL, and regional organizations.
